COURSE CLOSED - FRIDAY 28 to SUNDAY 30 MARCH 2025
Our course will be closed on Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March for the DISC Golf Seafarers Tournament. No golfers to use the course at any time during this period, and anyone walking on the course is advised to take extra care and avoid the area if possible (disc throwing being a potential cause of injury). Our apologies for any inconvenience, and we look forward to welcoming you back on the course from Monday 31 March.
With a blend of natural beauty and golfing adventure, Port Chalmers Golf Club is a 9 hole course nestled in Sawyers Bay, Dunedin with stunning views over Otago Harbour. It offers a tantalising challenge in a relaxed environment, for seasoned golfers and beginners alike. The club is renowned for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere and is a popular venue for visitors and clubs on tour.
$20 for 9 or 18 holes
Playing at Port Chalmers couldn’t be easier. Pay by EFTPOS or use our cash honesty box, and away you go (a tee time booking is not needed). There are a couple of exceptions to this as follows:
Saturday competitions
Saturdays are our Club Days, with a competition from 12 noon until 4:30pm, when the course is closed to casual golfers (those not playing in the competition) during this time. You are welcome to join us on a comp Saturday however, if you are a member of another golf club. You pay $25 to play, with $20 being your green fees and $5 for comp fee (including the possibility of winning prizes for Nearest the Pin and for the 2s holes).
Course maintenance, special events and competitions
We periodically need to close the course during the year for maintenance and upgrades. We also host occasional inter-club competitions, Disc Golf tournaments and special golf events on the course, so will close the course at these times. We will generally announce these in advance via our Facebook page, and the ‘Course Closed’ sign will be up at the entrance to the course, near our Clubhouse.
